KP, a Bachelor in Electronics and a veteran of 14 years
in the IT space started his IT career with a leading corporate
as a Systems engineer. Driven by his passion for the industry
he explored new possibilities in the Global market space
and chose the Media and Entertainment industry to become
his playground. The first break through was to design TIL
studios in Chennai with 3D, VFX, Games and CBT across multi-floor
with MOCAP from VICON. It was the 2nd largest Studio in
the ASIA Pac after Penta-Media during those days. KP later
moved to Crest Animation Studios in Mumbai (India) to build
the facility to support Multi-Project IT pipe-line. Crest
Animation, one of the largest studios in India had delivered
a huge volume of 3D content for TV series and Direct to
home DVD’s.
Subsequently, Crest’s IT design got the “Best
IT Implementation Award for the year 2006” for the
product developed indigenously called “RenderMAX”(Complete
LINUX and SUNGRID High performance through-put computing
Grid engine, first of its kind in Asian Entertainment Industry)
which was in line of high ROI and great productivity. RenderMAX
is also listed in Nasscom Book of Innovation 2006 and also the
winner of NASSCOM "Best IT User Award" of the year 2006. KP has
designed almost 7 Studios in the last 4 years with Heterogeneous
(Windows, Linux and MAC) which are handling National and
International Projects.
Also successful in materializing the tie-up with Altair
Engineering for joint development of render Submission and
management tool for the global Animation and VFX industry.
This tool is based on PBSPro which was originally designed
for NASA for its Cluster management. KP along with a dedicated
team has initiated work on designing “RusHour”
a powerful and flexible tool to handle project-management.
The biggest advantage of this tool is to can manage different
pipelines (According for the type of project pipeline) in
the single windows across multiple OS and multiple Browsers.
